This satire and deconstruction of contemporary music by Mauricio Kagel received its first west coast premiere by New Music Theatre. For three percussionists, baritone, mime, and speaker, Sur Scene lambastes the folly of serious composers, righteous critics, mimicking the clichés and nuances of avant-garde music.
