My last two projects, The Difference Engine 3 (begun 1994) and Time and Time Again (With Fabian Wagmister) were examples of the philosophies in the current discussion. These were connectivity projects that incorporate the user into the piece itself, mimic life cycles, and, in Time and Time again, use temporal layers that envelop the same spot of ground repeatedly to experience "networked subjectivity," that is "not merely mediated, but which experiences itself as mediation."
