It is this notion of constituting and projecting presence that the telematic portends. The individual is distributed, at any time augmented, amplified and extended into and through the network. In this circulatory system the self becomes multiple, luminous. This disembodiedness, making one's self appear and disappear, with the fluidity of light constituted as an image, or rather given agency, agency that teleports, teleoperates is an enormously seductive proposition. It is seductive as it allows us to believe that we can exceed our bodies, reach beyond them, be constituted outside of them (circulate like the images of light at the table) and in this new agency, or agency at will, be one with eternity and the engine of creation itself. The network gives the telematic, an age old nostalgic notion, by virtue of its real concretization of a dimension of non-space, the illusion for a moment of giving up the ghost.

Telematics is a kind of prosthetics that offers the sublime as it comforts and terrifies simultaneously. It is in fact the notion of a new form while paradoxically promising us the disappearance of form.
