Server Info

All users MUST go to the registrar's office and get their portal IDs even if they do not intend to use their email and other things.

Using Fetch or FTP client

Host: DIGITAL.MICA.EDU
User id: portal ID
Password: portal password
Directory: course ID (ea210a, ea210b,...., ea210m)

All users should make sure they have an index file in their folders (index.htm, default.htm)

The URL for the various sections will be

http://digital.nica.edu/emac-a/skelly ------- for a student with portal ID skelly in emac section A

We follow the alphabetical order till we get to I and J where the names become,

Example; The instructor id for section "M" is "jharford". Two students in the class have portal ids - "swhitney" and "rbrooker"

To FTP to the class site, the instructor will log on as

When he gets in he has access to all folders as well as a folder named "instructor" which is his
