The on-line gallery is situated autonomously and vicariously on the network. Sometimes they are associated with traditional physical spaces, museums, commercial galleries – often they only exist in the non-material world of cyberspace. Providing critical context that leans toward the suggestive more than the academic, these four virtual gallery spaces serve as router hubs for viewing work created for the distributed medium of Net Art.
