Switch

"Sassy, smart and sexy," Switch originates from San Jose State University's CADRE Institute, a new media art journal dedicated to critical discourse and ironic prose on digital culture. Switch is perhaps best known for its humorous and comprehensive, Web Art Taxonomy , that has been identifying and categorizing key works of Net Art for over two years. The Switch focus is on questioning and reporting about new works in the medium, as well as interviewing in the current issue (Volume 5, #1) such outspoken figures as the mercurial Sandy Stone, MIT's cybernetics researcher Sadie Plant, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art director David Ross.
